Samsung Techwin Opts to 'Let the Students Decide'
The Samsung SDP-760 Document Camera Outshines Competition in Blind Side By Side Comparison
Ridgefield Park, New Jersey (April 2, 2013) – Samsung Techwin America's Electronic Imaging Division (, a market leader in document camera technology, today announced the results of multiple unscripted document camera comparisons held by teachers and their students. "Our goal was to gather unbiased opinions from the actual users of our SDP-760 document camera," said Richard Bellomy, V.P. of Sales for the Electronic Imaging Division. "We were so impressed with the students and their thoughtful comments, which ended up all in favor of the Samsung product." Go to VIDEOS to review the comparisons yourself.
"The students appreciated the image clarity, especially when the lights were dimmed in classrooms with older projectors or aging lamps" added Bellomy. "They also commented that the SDP-760 showed no signs of blurriness or latency when teachers were presenting and moving subject matter during their presentation."

The SDP-760 provides full HD (1080P) resolution at true 30 fps output. Equipped with Samsung's proprietary dual noise reduction technology, plus a 16x digital zoom lens, the SDP-760 provides crystal-clear, noise-free results even in low-light environments. However, a built-in single LED lamp is available when additional lighting is desired. The SDP-760 also includes image freeze, an image mask mode, and auto tracking white balance…..all on an easy-to-use control wheel.

The weighted base is constructed of high quality materials to stand up to day-to-day use in the classroom environment. The extra weight allows easy positioning of the camera head with one hand. A Kensington port and threaded socket provide additional means to secure the unit. Connectivity features include a VGA output, composite video, high speed USB 2.0, as well as RS-232. The SDP-760 is compatible with any interactive whiteboard with the Samsung Viewer App, and will function as a web cam input allowing users to use with multiple applications including Skype, Adobe Connect, lecture capture applications, and much more.

The Samsung SDP-760 is available at a MSRP of $499. A microscope adapter is included and additional accessories are available, including a light box and padded carrying case.
